Returns & Refunds

Thank you for choosing Seattle Kimchi! We take great pride in making our kimchi fresh to order, just for you. Because of our strict commitment to quality and food safety, all sales are final.

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds, except in the cases described below. This policy applies to orders placed on seattlekimchi.us. Orders placed through Amazon are subject to Amazon’s return policy.

Incorrect Shipping Information
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. If you notice an error, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to correct it before your order ships. We cannot be held responsible for spoilage or quality issues resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address, and such orders are not eligible for a refund or replacement.

Upon Delivery
Please bring your package inside and refrigerate your kimchi as soon as possible after delivery. We are not responsible for quality issues caused by packages left unattended after delivery.

About Fermentation
Kimchi is a living, fermented food. Swelling or bulging of packaging, natural carbonation (fizz), a sour taste, and minor brine seepage are normal signs of fermentation and are not considered defects.

Damaged, Spoiled, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or spoiled due to carrier transit issues, or if you received an incorrect or missing item:

  1. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery (based on the carrier’s delivery confirmation) at hello@seattlekimchi.us.
  2. Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of:
    • The shipping box showing the shipping label
    • The inside packaging and insulation/ice packs
    • The affected product
  3. Please keep all packaging until your claim is resolved.

Our team will review your claim within 1–2 business days. Claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approved claims will be resolved, at our discretion, with a replacement shipment or a refund to your original payment method.
